About Misfit Mutts
We are all volunteers with a passion for saving our canine friends.
Founded in 2026, Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs who are not deemed adoptable and are at risk of euthanasia at animal shelters in the greater Sacramento area. We are all volunteers with a passion for saving our canine friends.
We do not have a physical facility — our dogs are cared for in volunteer foster homes where they receive individual attention and the care they need. As a foster-based rescue group, we can share detailed information about their personalities, behaviors, likes and dislikes with potential adopters.
Misfit Mutts dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any other medical need.
